Aldar’s Diversified Investments Drive Nine-Month Profit to Dh7.1 Billion
Aldar Properties has posted a 19% rise in net profit for the first nine months of 2026, reaching Dh7.1 billion, as it converted its project backlog into revenue and benefited from steady income across its diversified investment portfolio.
Revenue and earnings
Revenue for the third quarter grew 16% to Dh9.3 billion, while the nine-month total rose 11% to Dh26.2 billion. EBITDA increased 21% to Dh6.1 billion, which Aldar attributes mainly to the delivery of projects already in its backlog. Earnings per share climbed 20% year on year to Dh0.77.
Sales slow, backlog stays strong
Group development sales came to Dh18.9 billion over the nine months, including Dh6.8 billion in the third quarter. Both figures are down 34% from a year earlier. In the UAE, sales fell 45% in Q3 to Dh5 billion and 46% over the nine months to Dh14.4 billion. Overseas buyers and expatriate residents accounted for 78% of UAE sales, worth Dh11.3 billion.
Even with softer sales, Aldar’s group revenue backlog stood at Dh71.6 billion at the end of September 2026, giving the company visibility on UAE and international revenue for the next two to three years. Around 89% of the UAE backlog has already been awarded. Its project management services backlog reached Dh78 billion, of which Dh60 billion is under construction.
New launches and handovers
Aldar launched seven projects in the third quarter: Al Ghadeer Gardens II, Al Ghadeer Parks, The Canopies, Sei Saadiyat, Talay, Talay Beach and Yas Riva Reserve. That brings the total to 12 launches so far this year. The developer also handed over nearly 2,000 homes in the first nine months, more than twice the number delivered during all of 2025.
